Did he do any work for any of the people here? I mean for the staff or anyone else that'd be part of the school.

I highly-- oh. Well... I guess in a sense. He gave Megumi to me... the original AI and body was developed by him. He gave it to me on a whim when... I had to leave Fayflower the first time.

But other than that, no. He was... never really interested in anything other than advancing his own work. This school probably never interested him that much.

At least, he never expressed any interest to me when I told him... I was coming here.

I think I'm inclined to believe he didn't do much for them, then.

[ Beyond the whole giving her Megumi and all that. Unless something else comes up down the road, but honestly it's not like the Administration needs any more helping hands on their side, so it's good news to him. ]

When you had to leave Fayflower the first time? Do you mean, as in... the Entrance Exam, or was this a time earlier than that?

...Can you tell me what made you want to join and stay in a place like this? I'll admit I didn't know all that much about what else might've happened, but before the Entrance Exam happened, I saw you didn't look all that happy to be here.

...it's a long story, but... one you're all owed.

When I was asked... to come here... the school wasn't like this then. Everything changed recently, but before that... it was just a school for talented individuals.

I... I just wanted a place to continue my work. I wasn't... I wasn't good with people. I didn't like the program but even more than that I was... anxious... about being in charge of others.

[She pauses.]

When I was just turning five I... saw the fire that killed my parents. From... just outside. Afterwards, I... I lost the person that I was. I lost "Vivienne". And... I couldn't get that part of me back. After that... I didn't... know how to connect with people. It was easier... not to.

But... even though I was anything but an ally to you then... you still...

[She feels silly saying it, but--]

You accepted me. With... all my faults. And in the world it almost felt like... I finally... found a place I belonged...

Vivi...I'm sorry that happened.

[ So it looked like she was another person who had just gotten caught up in this mess. He can't help but look a little sad at hearing that, and it shows on his face.

Terra can't hug her, place a hand on her shoulder, or hold her hand, but the instinct to do either one of those things is still there. Right now, his words will have to do, and he could only hope for that much...and maybe it'll be enough, since it seemed that there wasn't just sadness here. ]

It can be hard to find your place in the world, and honestly...even though I'm not too happy about being pulled along here [ Until he remembers how fucked everything is for him, that is-- ] I'm happy to know that something good came from this. I guess...for me, it's always felt like you were one of us from the beginning, so, I...

[ He shakes his head, somehow managing something of a smile. ]

I don't know where I was going with this exactly. But having people you can rely on makes a world of a difference.

...thank you. That’s... why I can’t stop fighting now. I may have failed in the past but there is... there is still time to set things right. If I can just help Han I know we can stop them from using those robots for anything else.

[ Terra will clench his hand before placing on his chest, but with an almost flat palm, and a determined look in his sapphire eyes. He's committed and he's going to see this through to the end. For once, it looks like things are starting to brighten up, even if they're going to be difficult. ]

I guess at this point it'll be good to know some things:

Do you happen to know when things started to take a turn for the worse? I mean, when this ... hijacking thing appeared? Since it sounds like we still need to know more about that, and it only got bad enough awhile after Han's arrival.

And do you know when would be a good time for me to catch 'Megumi' so I can insert this thing in? Since I saw how Flat do it and all... but I'm not sure how receptive she'd be to me jumping out of nowhere and being like 'hey I need to insert this square thing can you just hold still for a second?'

[ ... Because uh, yes he does know that it's her uncle's robot/AI thing but she didn't seem very friendly during the motive thing. ]

It was... it happened a few years ago. I only... heard about it from other people. But... that's a conversation I should wait and share with everyone. I don't know if the others have asked either Han or Oswald, but... you all deserve to know what happened.

[And as for Megumi--]

Oh-- you shouldn't have a problem with her. You can tell her it's an order from me. She should listen. She's... emotionally, she's not very well developed, but she is intelligent. She understands what Uncle wants her to do.

Alright, that's fair. [ Terra doesn't mind waiting! He's many things but impatient...not so much. ] And she probably knows that I'm not the type to lie about that sort of thing anyway--I mean, since she at least knows about us too.

[ ...That's actually a huge relief to him. ]

I guess at this point it's now a matter of grabbing her as soon as possible and doing it, and then we should be in the clear, right?

[ Terra's glad he did too, and it shows--not just in his voice but by how more chipper he is. Though, now he's finally going to prepare to exit and head off to his own duties.

He hopes to encounter Megumi soon, but if not tonight, there's always tomorrow (or Tuesday if he can't manage Monday.) ]
